Say Hello To My New Baby

Say Hello To My New Baby

Well, non-human baby…

For those who are unaware, I’m pregnant. Really, really, really pregnant. Like, “there’s a good chance I could go into labor as this is published” pregnant. [Note: This was published on 1/3 and I ended up going into labor the very next day. Crazy how that happens, huh?] So you may think I’m a crazy person for starting something as time consuming as a blog at a time like this.

What can I say? I love to work. Now’s as good a time as any to start that fam and glam juggling act.

When I found out I was going to be a mum, every emotion imaginable ran through my mind. From the fear that I have no idea what I’m getting myself into to the absolute joy of starting a family with the love of my life, this has been the adventure of a lifetime for both Maks and myself.

For the past 9 months [yikes!], Maks has helped me work through every happy, scary and life-changing question that popped in my head. What do I do about my career? How will I make time for myself? MY LAWD, where did these boobs come from?!? And then I realized: I have this platform so I may as well use it.

That’s why I am so thrilled and honored to introduce All Things Fam & Glam.

Maybe you’re reading this and have no idea how hard it is to take care of a baby? Great! Me too. Maybe you’re reading this and had the same questions when you or your partner were expecting? WHEW! Glad it’s not just me. Or maybe you’re just waiting to see how I’ll manage my very public career while trying to maintain a somewhat normal family life? Me too, buddy.

At the end of the day, All Things Fam & Glam is about finding that balance – where you can be a great partner and mum without sacrificing the things that make you amazing – and give my fans a real peek at all of the glamorous and not-so-glamorous parts of raising a family. Along the way, we’ll combine real talk on family health and causes with girl talk about relationships and fashion and introduce you to my support system of friends, family and pros that keep me sane, motivated and stylish.

This is such a special and exciting time in my life. Thank you all for being part of it.

  1. Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful son. Take your time, don’t rush things;they grow up too fast. Advice is not really needed as no one knows how to raise a child better than the mother.

  5. Thank you so much for keeping it real! Most people are are so fast to judge a new mom and don’t realize all the things we have to do whether it’s staying at home or going to work. I love that you post pictures of yourself after having your baby, I know I’m not alone in the “let’s get back in shape” game that takes longer than we’d like, but slowly we’ll get there! I look forward to seeing all the things this site will bring!
